Instructor Bio:
Dori Moore is extremely happy to be at Ceres! After two years in the commercial insurance world, she decided a significant and immediate career path change was in order. When the Ceres Volunteer Coordinator position popped up on the job search screen, it was a eureka moment. She is now Sebastopol volunteers' go-to person for scheduling, onboarding, and questions about the volunteer program. Dori holds a BA in English from Andrews University, and has roots in Southwestern Michigan. She is passionate about organic, sustainable, and biodynamic agriculture systems and enjoys cooking and gardening at home.

Volunteering at Ceres gives you the opportunity to:

  • Become skilled at cooking a wide range of delicious and
    healthy food
  • Make a life-changing difference for people in a health crisis
  • Expand your circle of friends
  • Develop new talents and gain self-confidence
  • Gain real-life job skills
  • Work your way to becoming a Youth Leader and gain skills in leadership, peer teaching, public speaking and more
  • Collect community service credits
  • Learn to garden (at selected sites)
  • Discover how your food choices influence your own health, and that of the planet.

This is the required orientation for teens to become a volunteer at Ceres.
